Absences
Parents are expected to inform the school if their child is going to be away, either with an email or a phone call to the school office.
Bus Routes
As Ohaupo School is a rural school, some children require bus transport to get to school. There is currently one bus run running from the school as well as two commercial runs. For more details contact the school. The school must be informed in writing or verbally whenever alternative transport arrangements are made.
Grounds
Ohaupo School has a Smoke-Free, No Dogs, No Cycling policy and we ask visitors to respect this.

Newsletters
There is a weekly newsletter published and emailed home on Wednesday. The newsletter is also available in the news centre.

Parent Help
Ohaupo has an open door policy and encourages parents to visit and come to the child's classroom.
Parent Reading Tutors
Extra reading tuition is offered by parents and students which has helped staff reach literacy targets.
Reporting to Parents
Parents are invited to parent interviews twice a year and arrangements can be made to see teachers at any time. A learning summary will go home in terms two and four. There will be open day morning and afternoon sessions where parents will be invited in to see how their child is progressing.
School Donations
$150.00 per student for 2021 with a discount available for two or more children in the same family.
