Enrolment and Preschool Visits

Pre-enrolment
Please contact the office early for an enrolment pack so you can pre-enrol your child and organise preschool visits to the new entrant room.  When you enrol you will also need to bring with you your child's birth certificate (or passport) and immunisation certificate.

Pre-school Visits
New entrants experience a transition from pre-school to school.  They need to adjust to the size of the school, more people and new routines.  There is a structured day with expectations of learning and set eating times.  Because of these changes we recommend at least 2 pre-school visits leading up to your child starting school.  This introduces the student to the class routines and helps them become familiar with their surroundings.  If possible we prefer the student to stay over a break time, eg 9am to 11:15am or 11am to 2pm, so they can experience class learning time, eating, playing time and back to class learning time.

Starting School Programme
Every Friday afternoon from 1:30pm to 2:30pm we offer 4 year olds the opportunity to be involved in our Starting School Programme.  They will visit the school library and be able to take a book home each week.  Other activities may include maths and literacy games, alphabet knowledge, fine motor control skills eg pencil control, and computer skills.  If you would like your child to be involved then please contact the office with your details.
